We designed and manufactured the centrepiece of the home: a 5-metre-tall curved glass screen with a 2.1-metre radius that disappears into the surrounding slate structure. This standout element elevates the architectural impact. of the property and the unique design creates the illusion of floating stairs.
Cannon Belle
A large, architecturally striking property overlooking Lake Windermere, featuring multiple bespoke glazing elements designed to enhance movement, light, and drama within the home.
This architecturally striking holiday home overlooking Lake Windermere features a highly bespoke glazing package designed to enhance movement, light and drama throughout the interior. The scheme centres around a 5-metre-tall curved glass screen for the main staircase, engineered with a 2.1-metre radius that allows the glazing to disappear seamlessly into the surrounding natural slate structure.
Anglezarke delivered a comprehensive package including a bespoke curved AUK flat rooflight that follows the line of the staircase screen, adapted Reynaers CP130 lift and slide doors, frameless effect fixed glazing and Reynaers CS77 windows and doors. A bespoke handmade timber pivot entrance door, crafted in AUK’s carpentry workshop, completes the scheme.
The bespoke glazing package was designed to seamlessly integrate with the property’s exterior, featuring minimal grey framing that further blends with the slate construction. The expansive glass panes flood the home with natural light and allow for sweeping views of Lake Windermere.
