This one-off bespoke private estate on the banks of Windermere combines traditional materials with highly tailored contemporary glazing solutions. Designed by Cassidy + Ashton and constructed by Conlon Construction, the project balances natural textures with precision-engineered architectural systems to create a refined yet characterful home.

Anglezarke designed and manufactured a custom glazing package, including Reynaers CS77 windows and doors, Reynaers CP130 lift and slide doors, and AUK bespoke timber-aluminium frameless effect glazing systems. A defining feature of the scheme was the integration of glazing directly into structural oak beams, requiring bespoke detailing to interface seamlessly with the building’s unique architectural framework.

We used Reynaers CS77 windows and CP130 lift and slide doors to form the core of the glazing package, delivering expansive openings while maintaining clean architectural lines. The contrast between our expansive glass panes, the oak beams, and the brickwork creates a visually striking and contemporary feel while remaining homely.

Our bespoke timber-aluminium frameless-effect glazing systems wrap around the home, engineered to interface directly with exposed oak structural beams. This allows for expansive views of the surrounding garden and maximal natural lighting while remaining thermally efficient and soundproof.
