Silver Quay

Silver Quay is a high-end holiday home located directly on the shores of Lake Windermere. The project required a glazing package that maximised views across the lake while maintaining high thermal performance and resilience to a challenging lakeside environment.

Anglezarke U.K delivered the design, manufacture and installation of a bespoke architectural glazing package to Silver Quay on Lake Windermere, including custom glazed flood doors, a flood window, Reynaers Hi Finity screens and a balustrade system. Designed to maximise uninterrupted lake views while meeting strict structural demands, the standout double flood door opens fully and is engineered to withstand up to three tonnes of head water. The system features a satin polished high grade steel frame, structurally bonded heavy duty double glazing and stainless steel ironmongery, combining durability with a refined finish.

A key element of the project was the conversion of the former boathouse into a bedroom. Anglezarke designed bespoke floor level glazed doors to accommodate the natural rise and fall of the lake while remaining fully watertight, demonstrating specialist technical detailing and expertise in challenging waterside environments.
