Silver Quay

Silver Quay is a deluxe holiday home perched on the shores of Lake Windermere. The project required a glazing package that maximised views across the lake while maintaining high thermal performance and resilience to a challenging lakeside environment.

Anglezarke UK delivered the design, manufacture and installation of a bespoke architectural glazing package to Silver Quay on Lake Windermere, including custom glazed flood doors, a flood window, Reynaers Hi Finity screens and a balustrade system.

The custom double flood doors were carefully engineered to combine safety and practicality; the floor-to-ceiling glazing offers uninterrupted lake views while being able to withstand up to three tonnes of headwater. The system also features a satin-polished high-grade steel frame, structurally bonded heavy-duty double glazing and stainless steel ironmongery, combining durability with a refined finish.

A key element of the project was the conversion of the former boathouse into a bedroom. We designed bespoke floor-level glazed doors to accommodate the natural rise and fall of the lake while remaining fully watertight, demonstrating specialist technical detailing and expertise in challenging waterside environments.

Anglezarke undertook the design, manufacture, and installation of this project, creating a full architectural glazing package which included Reynaers aluminium windows and doors using the CS77 system, AUK frameless-effect floor-to-ceiling glazing, Reynaers Hi-Finity sliding doors and a balustrade system.

The former boathouse was transformed into a bedroom with bespoke floor-level glazed doors, designed to accommodate the natural rise and fall of Lake Windermere, while remaining fully watertight; the solution demonstrates advanced technical detailing tailored to a demanding waterside setting.
